2005 was the year Louis Puruckers musical horizon broadened. With a background including jamming in high school bands on the guitar and drums playing alternative rock, reggae & punk, to delving deeply into the hip hop world, Drum and Bass fulfilled the whole musical spectrum. Being first inspired by a performance by Shapeshifter, one of the worlds cutting edge live drum n bass groups out of New Zealand, Loui soon found it hard to look past the musical aspect of the previously unappreciated electronic genre.
2007 was the year he created his alias, Civil Din, and with intentions of keeping it civil yet loud and continuous, took it upon him self to express the musical funk within the break beat structure.
In the last 4 years Civil Din has progressed quickly playing right across the south island of New Zealand and sourcing gigs while over sea's in Europe, having played at parties before and after the likes of Digital, Diesel Boy, Spor, The Upbeats, Dose, Break, Evol Intent, State of Mind, Agent Alvin, Cern, Teknik, Lost Sequence & Trei.. Civil Din is no stranger to pleasing crowds.
His sets ever changing in style honed to best suit the particular moment in time at any event, largely consist of deep & up lifting Neuro laced with musical and melodical riffs, pieced together to keep it lively and rolling.
Working hard in the studio to include original numbers, Civil Din is set to bring something unique to floor near you.
